The epidemic situation in Asia has affected our producers, their families and loved ones. Many workshops are closed and assistance is provided locally.
We donate to their campaigns and also recommend donations to everyone whenever a suitable collection is found.
With product sales and gift card income, we are now offering pre-financing to artisans in India, Nepal and Bangladesh to support sustainable reconstruction work and financial stability in the waves of the epidemic. This is an important message for local fair trade actors and brings hope in the middle of the crisis.

Many workers in the world do not have a possibility to influence their work. Right now, it is important to give support also to them in the middle of the crisis and during the lock downs.
Our Fair Trade manufacturing partners in developing countries are currently doing important work to minimize the damage of the epidemic, protecting both the workers and helping their neighborhoods. Many artisan workshops have been changed to distribution centers. We want to support them too, like TARA project.
With the help of People Tree also Creative Handicrafts have distributed an important emergency kits to local families in India.
